Stymie: A Novel In Stories
I’m honored to have been commissioned to paint the cover image for the book Stymie: A Novel In Stories. It’s written by my good friend and award-winning author Andy Plattner. You can purchase a copy HERE. It’s a terrific read. I found myself falling in love with Stymie as I read the chapters he forwarded for me to use as research. He was a real horse that took everyone by storm with his “come-from-the-clouds” winning charge that I worked to capture in the final image.
Tandem NYC
I was asked to collaborate with Tandom NYC on a poster for Representative Alexandria Ocasio- Cortez’s Green New Deal series. The experience proved to be a very rewarding one, and it meant a lot to be able to honor my Puerto Rican heritage while painting a vision of a new future. Clicking on the image above will take you to AOC’s shop where you can purchase the Plaza Del Totem poster.
Studio Birdhaus/Brandon Perdomo
I had the good fortune of being interviewed by Brandon Perdomo for his project SHEDDINGSOMETHINGSHEDDING (2021), the pandemic was in full swing and we disscussed what it was like to create work surrouneded by the chaos of uncertainty.
From Brandon’s site- “A space where practice meets testimony, as independent artists share their stories of becoming in a reimagining of a salon-style gathering in a digital space.”

The Bronx Artist Documentary Project
I was documented at work in my Bronx studio by Melissa Bunni Elian.
From the BXADP site— The Bronx Artist Documentary Project, created in 2014, was a borough-wide collaborative endeavor involving Bronx photographers documenting Bronx visual artists at work in their studios or other Bronx venues.
The project was designed to increase awareness of the visual artists who work in the Bronx and who enrich the cultural fabric of the borough with their art.

Nikki Jumper Dual Portrait Collaboration
The photographer/singer Nikki Jumper and I collaborated on a dual portrait project. She photographed me and I painted her portrait (shown above). Her ability to create a narrative within an editorial shoot was a perfect fit for my love of that art form.
